    hi ann,
thanks for all your videos it helped me make so many cakes. question I want to make a Minnie mouse cake for my daughter I would do the same as mickey just add a bow and eye lashes? also what do u bake the cake for 2 ears in?

    • Hi Rachel, The ear cakes are baked in breakfast bowls as they are about the right size. Minie would definitely need some eyelashes and a big bow.

  4. I am trying to get the recipes for the frosting and the template for Mickey and Thomas the train. I do not see a link . any ideas? thanks

My son likes mickey so I tried your cake. It was my first time working with fondant. I also had to make the black fondant myself because were I live they don’t sell it and I didn’t have time to order it. It came out well. I made the Marshmallow fondant but added chocolate to it then I used black gel for icing. It came out perfect. Thank you for your video

    • awesome job cindy, looks great

      • I mixed black through it while preparing the Marshmallow fondant. The trick is you have to make it a chocolate marshmallow for it to work. By using semi sweet chocolate.

        • great tip thanks

  9. Thank you Ann, I will give that a try.

    Dear Ann,

Thank you for your insipiration, I can now do things I was scared to do.

Can you please show how to make a Porsche cake? Or any car cake, its my boyfriends 30th in a couple of months time and I can’t afford to buy him his favourite car but a cake.

    Thanks

  12. Hi Ann,
I’m going to attempt this cake for somebody…I’m just wondering for the vanilla cake recipe it says to double it for the princess cake…do I also need to double this recipe for the mickey mouse cake? Thanks! =)

    • Hi Ellen, just the one batch for mickey mouse 😀

  13. Will the fondant stick to the other bits of fondant or does it need a bit of buttercream?

    • to make fondant stick to fondant just put a tiny dab of water on your finger and rub it on one of the pieces

  14. hi the video I’m getting is 1.32 mins long and only shows as far as the covered cake board?

    • Hi clarem, seems to be working fine here, if you continue to have issues try watching on youtube.com/howtocookthat

  15. Hey, I have watched your videos and I love them, and I would like you to see if you can help me to make that cake, I leave you the pictures.
if you think you are able to do it it’s for 150 people for a 1st year birthday 🙂 hope you are able to help me thank you

    • Hi Nicole, have you watched the truck cake tutorial? that will give you some ideas of where to start. https://www.howtocookthat.net/public_html/truck-birthday-cake-how-to/ I suggest that you enlarge your pictures and cut out the shape of the side of your car for a cutting template for the cake. To make this beg enough for 150 people it will need to be a very big car. Think about cutting it into quarters, cut the quarter in half and then cut that piece into 17 pieces. The other option is to make a rectangle or tiered round cake base and then the car out of fondant as a decoration on top.
