27 Christmas Cookie Recipes

Best Christmas Cookie Recipes

Twenty Seven Christmas Cookie recipes for you to try out. It’s not too late to get some baking done and get into the Christmas spirit. I can’t write this post without asking you to pray for the families of those killed in the siege in Sydney, my home town. A gunman held customers at the Lindt cafe in Sydney captive for 17 long hours before he started shooting hostages. The police responded immediately and it all ended with three dead, including the gunman. One of those killed was Ms Dawson, a barrister and a mum of three kids. It makes me cry to think of those little ones who will never again feel the comfort of their mothers words or her warm embrace. It seems so unfair. The youngest is only 4. As a country we must go on. Bake some cookies and give them to someone you love, and if you have kids squeeze them extra tight tonight when you say goodnight.

  15. hello
How many cookies does this make? I’m thinking of doubling the recipe for Christmas. I’m also thinking of making some flavor variations. Like green tea or coco or raspberry as a pigment. Really pretty cookies!

    • Hi Alice, It makes about 30 cookies.

  16. Looks good, good job.

  18. The Sydney siege and the Cairns tragedy sadden every Australian. They all need our prayers.

Those spiral cookies are gorgeous, really stunning.

  19. Dear Anne, wanted to let you know people here in Switzerland we are so saddened by the event too- and the fact that it took place in a little far away “home place”, selling swiss chocolate.. I was pleased to hear the feeling comments of the Lindt managers though.
Your cookies look gorgeous, i might try a few on top of the swiss classics: cinammon stars, Basler Brunsli, Mailänderli, Aniseed cookies and so on…
Wishing you very nice and joyful holidays with your family, Laura

  20. You are right, it is incredibly unfair. And immensely saddening. I hope their families find support and love, maybe even through some cookies. I’d love to send them some, just to let them know we do care.
    Thanks Anne
