  1. Is there another way to do the wafers? Like with smaller ones? I’m not able to get a hold of the large ones…

    • Hi Serena, You can purchase larger wafers from cake decorating stores and online. If you use the smaller wafers it will take a long time and you will need to alternate the direction of the layers.

  2. Hi! Thank you for the wonderful instruction. I noticed that the directions call for ‘One 300g (10.58 ounces) packet of large wafers’. The link provided on this page leads to ‘Tort Wafers (THICK) for tort cakes, 150g, 5 sheets (sloboda)’ sold via Amazon. Do we need to purchase two packages of tort wafers since the product through the link is only 150g and not 300g? Thanks again for inspiring all of us to do such a great project!

    • Hi Lucy, The link helps identify a similar product as the product is sold in different forms and quanities in different countries. You will need about 300g total of large wafers however they are sold in your area. If you purchase from this supplier, buy 2 packets.

      • Thanks bunches for the follow-up. I appreciate it. Take care!

  3. What is the dimension of this? I really want to know also. does it really taste like a KitKat?

    • Hi Senpai, The dimensions match the template provided. Just print it out ay 100%. Yes it did really taste like a real Kit Kat!

  4. Hey can anyone give me the dimensions to this ?

  5. I finally got around to making this for the youth at my church…huge hit !! Thanks for the excellent tutorial!

    • Great work Leonie!

  6. Hello!

I love your videos and I will be making this Kit Kat Bar for my boyfriend this Saturday (8/26/15). I printed out the template and it seems very small for the actual kit kat bar. Is it possible to get the measurements of the kit kat mold in inches or centimeters please? I would really appreciate a response. Thank you!

    • Hi Tiffany, make sure you print out the template at 100%. The width of the template at the end of the bar is around 6cm.

  7. Hi Ann, What sort of chocolate did you use ? any in particular and did you get it in full size of kgs

    • Hi Anonymous, Ann always prefers to use real chocolate but doesn’t have a particular brand that she sticks to. You can buy bulk quantities of chocolate from cake decorating stores and online suppliers.

  8. I live in the us and i want to make this for my cousin and im on 13 and it would cost at least $60 for just the chocolate does any one know where to get it cheap?

    • This may be a stretch, but look for supermarkets going out of business. I bought my chocolates at an 80% discount because the supermarket chain was bought out. Otherwise, I would have had to put them on layaway :0)

  9. Would you please find the kindness in your heart to make one of these for me?? I would pay toi for it but i Really want one, I’ve been looking everywhere for one like this, i am such a fan of your work. I would make it myself but my muscles have a limit to many things that i can or can’t do.

    • Hi Laura, Unfortunately we can’t make and send these out to people. So glad to hear that you are enjoying the tutorials.

  10. Hi Salim, Glucose syrup is available at most supermarkets or from cake decorating stores.

  13. Hi Ann i’m Emmie from the UK i’ve been watching a lot of your video’s and i wanted to know do you need to temper the chocolate or just melt it?

    • Hi Emmie, this post on chocolate will help answer your questions… https://www.howtocookthat.net/public_html/temper-chocolate/

      • Please tell me from where I can get glucose syrup

        • Hi Rabiya, We can purchase glucose Syrup in the local supermarkets, though sometimes you have to ask where it is as it can be shelved in odd places. If you can’t get it at your supermarket, cake decorating stores will usually stock it.

  14. That giant kitkat is amazing i love watchin how to Cook That

    • the link from the recipe is only half the size of the wafer needed

    • If you go on amazon or eBay you can find giant wafer sheets

      • Really, Emmie? I can’t find it at all!! The store from the link Ann shared above doesn’t deliver to my address and I couldn’t find it anywhere else!! I have been asking everywhere and searching on internet! Any help will be immensely appreciated as I promised my husband this giant kitkat for his birthday in 3 weeks time! I’ve done all the trials I needed, have the mold ready to go, label… only need the wafer…

        • Hi Fernanda, There are lots of companies that make these. Just search for Tort wafers in your region or contact a local cake decorating store for a local supplier.

  17. do you know of any chocolate (melts) brands in the U.S. that you would recommend for this recipe?
