Gooey Chocolate Brownie Recipe

147g (5.19 ounces) or 2/3 cup butter
200g (7.05 ounces) chocolate
1 cup or 216g (7.62 ounces) castor (super fine) sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3 or 150g (5.29 ounces) eggs
90g (3.17 ounces) or 1/2 cup plus one Tbsp plain (all purpose) flour

  3. Hi Ann, I want to make these for my cousens birthday but he’s allergic to nuts is there a substitution for the peanut butter that works just as well

    • Heyho, I’m not Ann but I hope you’ll forgive me for answering nontheless 🙂 You could make the second layer like the first one, but using white chocolate instead of dark one. I tried it, since I didn’t have any peanutbutter and it tasted great!

  4. what temperature do we set the oven at? It isnt mentioned in the video or the recipe. It would be fantastic to have a ‘methods’ section under the recipe here (and in the future)

    • Hi Rita, In the video Ann says to preheat your oven to 350C or 180C.

    • Hi Eric, Ann used a tray that was about 9 inch x 13 inch but use whatever is similar that you have at home.

    • Hi Crystal, Ann usually prefers to use real chocolate in her recipes.

  18. What type of chocolate did you use unsweetened, semi-sweet, or sweetened and I have the same question for the ganash.

    • sweetened, just normal Cadburys chocolate

  19. Hey Ann, I tried this recipe but it wasn’t very chocolatey.. did you use dark or milk chocolate for the bottom layer? and my batter was VERY thick but it still came out fine.
