Gravity Falls Eyeballs and Hand in a Jar

gravity falls party ideas

There have been so many requests for a Gravity Falls themed dessert lately. In the opening sequence of this quirky cartoon, there’s a jar of eyeballs on the counter of the Mystery Shack and a hand in a jar on the shelf above. You can make these gruesome sweet treats to add to the table for your next party.

Did you see that weird looking link at the end of the video? See if you can decode it to find some hidden treasure.

For the gravity falls eyeballs you will need:

1 Jar
Sphere ice cube tray (similar to these ones I used one medium and one smaller sized)

  1. Hi how much timevit needs in the fridge?

    • A few hours should be sufficient but best to leave overnight if you can.

  2. Action requires knegwedlo, and now I can act!

  3. Your video says to go to the website for the directs and printouts of the labels; but neither are shown. How do I print out the instructions? I do not have access to internet in my kitchen, so the video will not help.

    • Hi Genie, The link has seemed to have gone missing. We will endeavour to reset the link for the printables as soon as possible.

  4. Hi I’m having trouble finding the printable of the tag and sign

    • Hi Jazmin, these are not provided as they are very easy to create for yourself.

hey…i am twelve and i am obsessed about how to cook that.i have a question about the mould though.i live in india and i can’t seem to find a similar mould. but i do have a silicone cake pop mould with a cover.will that do??? if not do you have any other options

    • Hi Sasha, that sounds like a good alternative. If it not silicone, you may find it a challenge to get them out of the mould though, so give it a try and let us know how it went.

I want to make the hand as a cake topper, so it won’t be submerged in liquid. Should I temper the chocolate or will real untempered chocolate still work?

    • Hi Freya, You will need to temper the chocolate or use compound chocolate.

  7. Do the eyeballs need to be kept in the refrigerator? If so, is there any way to make them so that they don’t need to be refrigerated or a creative way to keep them cold when they are out on display?
Thanks for the extremely creative idea.

    • Hi Kayla, Ann recommends keping the eye balls in the fridge till you need them. When you you wish to display them for your party or event, they should be okay out of the fridge for a couple of hours.

    creative ideas.
    Thank you
    Amy

    • Hi Amy, The ingredients for the eyeballs are above and the method is given in the video.

  9. Hi Ann. Im wondering will the yellow drink dissolve the chocolate and shud I use real or compound choc?
    Thank you
    Lisa

    • Hi Lisa, As long as the drink is cold and doesn’t contain alcohol the hand should be fine. If it sits in a drink containing fruit juice, it will deteriorate a little but that might add to the effect. Ann prefers to use real chocolate but compound would be fine too.

Love it. Great idea for Halloween. I’ve used doctors gloves for a few hand chocolate desserts that work real well. Can’t wait till next Friday. Your boys and are getting big nice to see them.
