Top 10 Best Nutella Recipes

10 best nutella recipes

Most of these easy Nutella recipes have only two or three ingredients. With ‘World Nutella Day’ coming up soon I thought I’d have some fun baking, whipping and experimenting with Nutella and its many uses. I don’t advise that you make all ten in one day or you’ll find it hard not to over-indulge. I confess, I may have eaten a few too many of these Nutella treats, they were just too hard to resist.

1/2 tsp salt

Place all of the ingredients in a bread maker on a ‘dough’ setting.
Or if making by hand mix the ingredients together and kneed until elastic.
Leave in a covered bowl in a warm place until it doubles in volume.

To assemble you will need approximately 3 tablespoons or 50g (1.76 ounces) of Nutella.
Bake at around 180C (356 degrees Fahrenheit). When it is cooked through, the bread will sound hollow when tapped on the base.

I loved all the recipies, especially the brownie, the bread and the mug cake! I have a question: I don’t have a microwave. How can I make the mug cake in an oven?

    • Hi Eva, You could easily make the mug cake and cook it in the oven. Make sure the mug you use is oven proof. Use a moderate oven and check it after 5 mins to see if it is cooked. Leave longer as needed. Use a knife or skewer to test if it is cooked in the middle. Slip the knife in to the center and it should come out clean.

      • Thank you so much! I would like to ask one more question! For the nutella star bread recipe, could I use pizza dough instead of bread dough?

        • Hi Eva, Ann hasn’t trialled this. In principle it should work though it won’t be as sweet or as soft.

  2. instead of nutella can i use chocolate ganache

  3. instead of nutella can i use chocolate ganache because we don’t have nutella here

    • I can’t give a definite answer as to whether or not you can use ganache, but I don’t think that would work, since Nutella is a lot thicker and has different ingredients, taste, and texture. There are a lot of recipes online for making your own Nutella, though, so you might be able to make a homemade spread that can be used in the same way.

    • Hi Soniya, a chocolate ganache won’t work for all these recipes. Nutella has multiple ingredients and so ganache isn’t an effective replacement.

  4. This looks great and all, but how long do you do the cookies for and at what temperature?

    • Hi Shane, bake the cookies at about 180C.

  5. I made the mug cake and it was delicious! This will definitely be a recipe that I go back to again and again.

  6. Hi Ann, for the brownies you say to pour the batter into an 8 x 8 pan, but in the video it looked like you used a rectangular pan. Which size is best? Thanks!

    • Hi Christine, Either is fine. Ann used a 11 x 7 inch pan in the video as that is what she had handy.

  7. thank you anne for that video i was looking for really easy brownies so i diddnt have to buy anything and this is it oh and im baking the brownies because im doing a cake stall

  8. Here is what I think mikie would look like

  9. Hey there, loved all ur easy ,simple n yummy nutela recipes but I would like to make one request if it’s possible can u plz side by side also tell the other option we can use if not willing to add egg .as being a pure vegetarian I CNT even touch egg but want to try these recipes too bit only without eggs.

    • Thanks for the suggestion Pavas, but we are unable to provide an egg free option at this stage.

  10. I tried the brownies last night and they are so very good and alot lighter then the regular brownie.. when I mentioned to my husband about Nutella, he said he didn’t like Nutella. I then made the brownies, which he didn’t know had Nutella in them, and he said the brownies were really good, I still haven’t told him what was in the brownies.

    • Hi Margo, so glad the recipe is one you both enjoyed.

  11. Hi Ann, I sas just wondering if for the nutella lava cake you can put the mixture into ramekins then put them in the fridge till your guests arrive and then bake them?
Btw your videos are awesome, I love them all!

    • Hi Jane, the mix probably wont cope with being fully made in advance because of the egg white in the mix. You could possibly leave the egg white out of the mix and then beat and mix the egg white into the batter just before you cook.

  12. Hi Ann! Just asking, can you still make the lava cakes if you replace the ramekins with metal cupcake molds? If so, what’s the temperature and timing for it to bake? THANKS

    • Hi NamiraMia, you won’t be able to serve them from a cupcake mold. They are best cooked in individual trays or ramekins that you can take straight to the table.

  13. Such a big fan of your work, Ann. Thank you for another amazing video! I can’t wait to make all of these. How about a Nutella party with these desserts? 🙂 One last thing – could you make an Olympics cake? Thank you again.

  14. Fabulous recipes makes my mouth water just watching and I will try them all.

  15. Hi. I am 12 years old and I am a very big fan of your. Actually I am pure veg so can you please make a video on a simple eggless cake or brownie or please tell how to replace the eggs in your recipe.please

  16. Is the nutella star bread sweet from the nutella like realy sweet or more like a little sweet bread? I just love really sweet chocolate ^_^

    • I made it and it was pretty sweet, but not extremely sweet. You can always make it sweeter and more chocolaty by adding a thicker layer of nutella though (:

  17. Wow! I never know what you’ll come up with and I always know it’ll make me ravenous! So many of these would make fantastic desserts for entertaining or a pot-luck dinner. It amazes me how easily they are made and how luxurious they look and will taste. Once again, Ann, thank you!

  18. You are the best Ann. I’m looking forward to do these amazing treats for our beautiful sons. Love lots

  19. Hi Ann,

Which white chocolate was used for the nutella truffles, its so white in colour. Here In the uk white chocolate is a creamy pale yellowish in colour.

    • The cream color might look even better. Or would a little blue food coloring counteract the yellow? It does in clothes and paints.

      • Yellow and blue makes green, right? So I won’t try that haha. The opposite of yellow is purple, but two opposites make grey. Maybe she used candy melts or “fake” chocolate. Or maybe she added white food colouring, who knows?

  20. Please can you make something marvel?
    Thanks!
