Your taste buds detect five primary tastes: sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and umami. But the real star of the show is our nose.<br \/>\nClose your eyes and inhale. Ah, the aroma! It wafts from your steaming coffee, your sizzling bacon, or that freshly baked bread. But why does it matter?  The aroma turning those 5 basic tastes into millions of distinct flavours.
