A word of warning though the candy is very hot so perhaps not a recipe for younger ones.  <\/p>\n<p>I have an exciting week coming up, my channel is being featured at an event for youtube. I can&#8217;t tell you much now, it&#8217;s all top secret, but I&#8217;ll share more with you next Friday. <\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vxDsf_KMnxg\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"fn\"><strong>To make your own candy you will need:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span class=\"ingredient\"><span class=\"amount\">600g (21.16 ounces)<\/span> or 2 and 3\/4 cups <span class=\"name\"> of sugar<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n200mL (6.76 fluid ounces) or 3\/4 cup plus 2 tsp water<br \/>\n100g (3.53 ounces) or 1\/4 cup plus 2 tsp of glucose syrup or corn syrup<br \/>\n1\/16th tsp cream of tartar<br \/>\nA good candy <a href=\"http:\/\/goo.gl\/ZDzvRe\">thermometer<\/a>.<br \/>\nflavours \/ colours of your choice<br \/>\nThe lemon Fizzers need 37g (1.31 ounces) or 2 Tbsp sherbet, yellow colour and lemon flavouring<\/p>\n<p><strong>Basic Candy Instructions<\/strong><br \/>\nPut the sugar, water and glucose syrup into a pan.  Place it over high heat. Turn off the heat and stir through the cream of tar tar.  <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtocookthat.net\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/P2160109-550x413.jpg\" alt=\"how to cook that candy sherbet\" width=\"550\" height=\"413\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-43905\" data-wp-pid=\"43905\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.howtocookthat.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/P2160109-550x413.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.howtocookthat.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/P2160109-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.howtocookthat.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/P2160109-60x45.jpg 60w, https:\/\/www.howtocookthat.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/P2160109-400x300.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.howtocookthat.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/P2160109-1200x900-cropped.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sherbet filled candy<\/strong><br \/>\nFollow the candy directions above and add yellow food colouring.<\/p>\n<p>Pour it into a warm tray lined with baking paper. <\/p>\n<p>Protect your hands using cotton gloves covered in silicone gloves.<\/p>\n<p>Fold in the edges of the candy towards the centre lift it up and begin to pull it out then fold it back in.  The more you pull it the more shiny and opaque it becomes, if you want it transparent then don&#8217;t pull it much at all. Place a generous amount of sherbet down the centre and then bring the sides up and around to cover it.  Push down each of the ends to seal in the sherbet and squeeze to make a cylinder shape.<\/p>\n<p>Place it back in the oven for about 30 seconds then stretch it to make a long snake.
