The only issue is that our dishwasher broke this week, meaning all of Dora&#8217;s dishes plus the usual two or three loads per day suddenly piled up. \u00a0It was all a bit of a hassle &#8230; but then something interesting happened. \u00a0This week I discovered that doing dishes together is a great time to talk to your kids. \u00a0It&#8217;s like holding them captive with soapy water and a tea-towel and surprisingly effective at extending dinner conversations into the evening. \u00a0It&#8217;s funny how life&#8217;s little problems sometimes throw up unexpected pleasures.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"550\" height=\"309\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Gx39t-Yx8-k?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"fn\">To make your Dora Cake you will need<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cake:<\/strong><br \/>\nI used a double quantity of my <a title=\"Perfect Sponge Cake Recipe:  Light Fluffy Moist and Tall\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtocookthat.net\/public_html\/sponge-cake-recipe\/\">light fluffy sponge cake recipe<\/a>. Baked into two 20cm (7.87 inches) round cake tins and one 20cm (7.87 inches) pyrex oven proof bowl.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Frosting:<\/strong><br \/>\nOne quantity of white chocolate ganache cooled and whipped with one quantity of vanilla buttercream.
