Real or Fake Ice-Cream, Light or Dark Baking Trays?
I am so pleased when people send me a video saying, “Is this real or fake?” That tells me they are thinking, not just believing everything that they see. Some questions are easy to answer, others like light or dark baking trays, takes a fair bit of time to figure out how to show the answer on camera.
In this video discover whether light or dark baking trays are better for baking. Can you use a blacklight to tell if ice cream is real or fake? Can you make cotton candy in a blender? Will baking soda wash pesticides off fruit and vegetables?

Hi Ann,
I was curious about the study you mentioned at the end of the video regarding baking soda and pesticides – would you be able to provide a link or cite the reference for viewers like me to follow up?
I’m also curious about your opinions on this article: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-09-07/pesticide-review-thiometon-dimethoate-blueberries-raspberries/105701674
My initial reaction was to stop buying berries because I would give them to my primary school aged children for recess; but I don’t live in NSW and I’m not sure how to find more information on trace pesticides in fruits/veg in my area, how effective rinsing with water at home is, and what else I could do for safe consumption of fruits/veg for my family.
Thanks for reading this and I hope you will respond. 😊
