Ann Reardon

Chocolate Camera

chocolate food art how to cook that

There’s a sweet, sticky tug-of-war that occurs every week in my kitchen as I film my latest crazy creation – the wrestle between making beautiful food and also getting the perfect shot for video. I still shoot and edit all my videos personally, which is probably why I have chocolate ingrained into the focus bezel and record button of my camera. Today’s video is inspired by what my DLS may one day look like – a camera made entirely out of chocolate.

To make this chocolate camera you will need:

900g (31.75 ounces) Chocolate (how to temper)
1/3 cup mixed dried fruit and nuts
circle cutters

How would you make the lens? I’m looking at making a magnifying glass, to rest on top of an open book cake.
