easy entertaining – make your own pizza

Before guests arrive prepare an array of toppings – you will need the basics for the kids like ham, cheese and pineapple.  For the adults try some chicken, prawns, bacon, cabanossi, sun dried tomatoes, chilli, terryaki sauce, olives, red and green capsicum, baby spinach, haloumi cheese and baby bocconcini.

easy dinner

You will of course also need pizza bases, tomato pizza sauce and lots of cheese – I like to use a mix of cheddar, mozzarella and parmesan.

make your own pizza label the baking paper with guests names

Pre-slice the bases into halves or even quarters if you have some younger kids coming.  Label the baking paper with names and arrange on trays around the pizza bar.  Turn the oven on – preferable to heating from the bottom if you have that setting.  Alternatively if you have a hooded BBQ you can cook them on a pizza stone under the hood.

Some people will load on a bit of everything for a strange concoction of flavours, while others carefully construct their gourmet pizza with spinach, chicken and bocconcini arranged in a pretty pattern.  But one thing is for sure – everyone gets to have a dinner that they love.
