Chocolate Handbags

Chocolate handbags filled with delights perfect for take home bags from a party or a gift for a foodie. What will you put inside yours?
This week the website got a whole new look and layout. It is now responsive, meaning it can change shape to suit the device you are looking at it on and I think it’s much cleaner and easier to get around. Let me know if you see any glitches that need attention, I’ve spent all week re-coding things that didn’t work properly with the new layout but I’ve no doubt missed something along the way.
To make the chocolate handbag you will need:
Chocolate (real chocolate needs to be tempered or you can use compound chocolate. See this post for videos explaining the difference)
Handbag Template
luster dust (optional)
chocolate transfer sheets (optional, you can use plain plastic)
texture mat (optional)
My Cookbook
Stores that sell my book listed by country:

Helloo there,I am soo impressed and just loving your website! Thank you for sharing your ideas! Just a quick q,can overheard projection sheets be used when making the handbags? I saw it in the chocolate box recipe and wondering if same can be applied here? Let me know, thank you.
Just wanted to say thanks so much for all your wonderful tutorials, I absolutely love them and the way you make everything so easy
Simply gorgeous Ann……..you are sooo clever!!!
anna love your work , i am trying to purchase the templet without any sucess any other site i can go and purchase this?
Why do you have to make your templates fro your creations cost money because I am only 11 and I love to bake as you could tell by the mane and I can’t buy them pls make them free in the future I would really appreciate thar
HI Phoebe, If I make everything free I will have to go back to the job I used to do, then I wouldn’t have time to make videos, blog posts or templates anymore.
I tried to buy the template with my debit card from the US and it didn’t work. I even redirected to the seller website and nothing. i really wanna get the template. Any idea what could be wrong? I triple checked the information and made sure that there was money in the account.
thanks Helen, The shop accepts credit cards, american express and paypal but not debit cards. Sorry
Ann, I love watching your videos! not to mention, I love your accent. Can’t wait till next Friday!
thanks LittleMissMimi 😀
You are great and an amazing inspiration. love all your videos.
thanks Mojisola that is so sweet
Hi Ann, this is a bit irrelevant but I’m having difficulty finding maroon fondant. I live in NZ and I was hoping to make my brother a manly sea eagles inspired cake for his up coming 13th birthday. Is there anyway that you can help me find maroon fondant (if not make it) or possibly show us how to make a NRL Inspired cake???
Hi Kavita, see the colour chart on this page it might help… https://www.howtocookthat.net/public_html/sugar-paste-fondant-cake-decorations/ maroon has red yellow and blue colour in it. I’d buy bright red fondant and then experiment with a little bit of it, add some blue and yellow gel colour.
Hi Ann, I just tried to order 2 sets of the texture mats from Amazon (same as what you used in the video). At the checkout it stated that this item could not be sent to my address. I live in Victoria. Any ideas why?? Are there any other sites that sell these. Thanks Ann x x
Hi Louise, when i use amazon I do a search and then tick the option on the left column to only show items eligible for international shipping. Often there is more than one supplier of the same item so it’s just a matter of finding one that does ship. Otherwise you could try looking for online cake decorating stores in Australia

Hi, been watching your handbag tutorial and can’t wait to try it. I’m new to chocolate making and am not too quick. Once the chocolate is tempered it starts to set again before I finish a project. When this happens do I need to temper the chocolate again or would I need to temper a completely new batch? Thanks
Hi Dorien, I take out about a quarter of it when it is too thick to work with but not yet set and then put the rest of it in the microwave for 5 seconds at a time until it is a good consistency then stir through the quarter that you took out.
ann can i take chocolate bags for shopping
imagine this 🙂
😀
ann u r lookin great
imagine if somebody placed an engagement ring inside one these hand bags and this was his way of proposing. Now that would melt my heart
that sounds like a great idea 😀
I was wondering, the template main bag section gives the dimensions. However, the other templates do not give size. How can I print out the exact template?
Hi Brenda, when you print print it at 100% do not select stretch to fit or other settings on your printer etc and it will be the right size
