TINY chocolate chip cookies
I’ve always loved miniatures so when I was asked in the comments to do miniature baking I couldn’t resist. I set to work building a dollhouse sized kitchen complete with running water and a working oven. It some time to modify the metal oven to make it function. My first attempts resulted in the candle going out as soon as the oven door was shut. Many experiments and air holes later and amazingly it worked. This was such a fun project, let me know if you’d like to see more things baked in my mini kitchen.
To make this chocolate chip cookie recipe real sized you will need:
290g (10.23 ounces) or 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
125g (4.41 ounces) or 1/2 cup butter
1 egg
1/2 tsp baking powder
240g (8.47 ounces) or 1 1/2 cups plain all-purpose flour
200g (7.05 ounces) chocolate chips
Mix together the butter and sugar then add in the egg and stir well. Add in the sifted flour, baking powder and chocolate chips. Roll tablespoons of mixture into a ball. Gently press to flatten each cookie and bake for about 15 minutes (or a lot less if they are miniature of course).

I made these cookie in miniature form one Sunday afternoon the our plans got cancelled and i was pleasantly surprised when they worked

THAT EGG! I am a miniaturist and love doing tiny things (or at least I did when I still could see properly) but that egg is messing with my mind! Need any mini woodturnings? I have done a goblet and wine bottle set from wood that would fit perfectly. 😉 Not for sale, but I’ve done it once so can do again.

Hi Abiola, Ann has collected some of these gorgeous items over many years. You could try specialty toy stores or online stores that specialize in dolls house furniture and items.

Where or how did you get that tiny egg?
A comment from the youtube video that explains it perfectly, ‘With the egg, I want to guess you used a small amount of the white, and for the yolk, you mixed in sodium lactate with a normal yolk and dropped a tiny amount it into a calcium chloride solution to form a skin just like a real egg yolk? That is the only way I can think of doing it.’
