Chocolate Wonder Woman Pop Art

This week I decided to recreate Roy Lichetnsteins’ Wonder Woman’ pop art in CHOCOLATE. During his life time Roy Lichtenstein created over 5000 works of art. Some days I feel like my 5 year old is racing to catch up to him. Lichtenstein was best known for his pop art in which took comic strips and recreated them accentuating the dots that were formed in the crude printing process. To paint all those dots perfectly in alignment must have been a painstakingly slow process.

To make this Wonder Woman pop art out of chocolate you will need:
3kg (6.61 pounds) white chocolate
4kg (8.82 pounds) dark chocolate
oil based food coloring or colored cocoa butter in red, blue, black, yellow and white
Bubble wrap
Large wooden board and temporary frame – to stop the chocolate dripping off when you pour it.
aluminium foil to cover the board
acetate to cut your pieces from
The image that you want to recreate, scale to print to the size you want to make it keeping in mind the size of your dots is predetermined by the process.
