Hi there. This is a great idea. I’m going to try it for my teens birthday party. Can you tell me how people normally cut it and eat it? Do they slice or just smash it up?!

    • Hi Sarah, I would advise using a sharp knife to cut into chunks. As for the number of serves, a 3 pack of ferrero rochers weighs 40g. This huge one is 6kg so that’s 150 small serves. Because it is giant most people tend to want a giant serving too, so with that in mind I’d say it easily serves 50 people.

  6. I have tried this about 6 times now .
The wafers will not get soft enogh to unwrap tried bit more water . Then they wont crisp and stay wet what on earth am i doing wrong . Not as if it is hard to do .
    Thanks

    • Hi Julie, I haven’t come across someone with this issue before. Perhaps it is the brand of wafer cones you are using. You could zap them for 10 seconds in the microwave. If they still don’t start soften at all then you will need to try a different make of wafer cones.

  7. Hello Ann could you please tell me how long it can keep once made and warped up?
    Thank you’x

    • Hi Chloe, As long as this is kept in cool conditions, it should last up to a week. Once cut, then it should be used within a couple of days.

  8. Alana found this on meme.w0rld – ?

    • Hi Emily, Ann used gold foil wrapping paper purchased from the local store. Smooth it over the top and fold and crumble around the sides, pulling the excess in at the base. Don’t try to be too perfect about it.

  10. Hello ann.
I just wanted to know. What is the size of the hemisphere you used please.

    • Hi Lloyd, Ann provides a link to this in the recipe: https://goo.gl/xMSdzW . This is an 8 x 4 inch bowl. This is roughly 20cm diameter and 10cm deep.

  15. Hi Ann,
How long did you cook the hazelnut centre in the oven for? And at what temperature/setting?

    • Hi Mona, Use a moderate oven and check it around the 20 minute mark. If tested with a knife or skewer it shouldn’t be gooey in the middle.

  16. I am vegetarian I can’t use eggs what should I do please fell
    Jme

  17. Could you please tell me how many cones is two packets exactly? Will six cones be enough? I want to make it for my Mom’s birthday this weekend.
